Following this evening’s Isle of Man Football Association Club Council meeting, we’re delighted to announce that FC Isle of Man has been affiliated to the Isle of Man FA with effect from season 2020-21.
Our FC Isle of Man spokesperson, Paul Jones stated:
Obviously we’re delighted at the result of tonight’s vote and on behalf of everyone at FC Isle of Man I would like to say that we are extremely grateful to both the Isle of Man FA and its member clubs for supporting our proposal and allowing us to progress to the next stage of the ‘project’ which will be to begin the official application process to join the English FA League System.
We would also like to thank the IOMFA for allowing us to announce this news.
This result means that the real hard work for our Working Group starts now as we will have to meet some stringent deadlines relating to the application but we are all looking forward to the challenge.
We sincerely hope that local football fraternity, and indeed the Manx community at large continue to support FC Isle of Man during this next stage of the process and we will endeavour to keep everyone informed of our progress over the next few months.
