Growing up playing football in Nigeria, Ravens forward Furo Davies saw first hand that football boots and equipment were sometimes too expensive for teenagers.
After seeing the high volume of boots left in lost property in clubhouses and schools across the Isle of Man he set out to gather and send any unwanted football boots and kit to Nigeria.
Formed in 2018 at Ballakermeen Highschool, and since becoming a registered charity in 2019, Furo’s BallaBoots has sent over 400 pairs of boots to Nigeria and this year they will be sending more.
Starting this weekend at our game vs Vauxhall Motors, there will be a BallaBoots collection point at The Bowl at every home game this season where you can leave any unwanted football boots of any size, ground type and condition for donation.
For more information visit BallaBoots Facebook Page or donate directly on their GoFundMe page.
