Two Ste Whitley goals secured FC Isle of Man’s third league win in a row away at South Liverpool.
Whitley scored two in the second half to ensure the Ravens closed the gap on the sides above and climb up to eighth.
The first real chance of the game went the way of the hosts as Rio Merrifield crossed for Sam Smith, he failed to make a true connection and the ball was cleared by Callum Sherry.
Andrew Lloyd provided another cross for Smith but he headed wide when he had all the game to aim at.
The Ravens’ front line came to life in the 14th minute as Luke Booth got on the end of a through ball, he crossed to Tom Creer who put his effort over the bar under pressure from keeper Lucas Allan.
However, referee George Corrie decided Allan had fouled Creer and awarded Jack McVey the chance to put the Ravens ahead, a chance that was spurned as Allan made up for the foul to make the save.
With Charlie Higgins replacing the injured Creer, the Ramsey-man quickly raised the tempo as he weaved his way through two challenges before seeing his shot blocked.
The final chance of the half went the way of South Liverpool as Merrifield got in behind and smashed his effort into the side netting as the half ended 0-0.
Jacob Crook crafted the first real opening of the second half as he found space at the back post, but saw his effort deflected back onto the post and out.
The Ravens would take the lead just before the hour mark as Booth linked up well with Danny Gerrard, who selflessly squared to his teammate to slide in at the back post to open the scoring in front of the passionate visiting fans, 0-1
As a few half chances came and went for both sides, Adam Killey was called in to action in the 67th minute, making a smart stop after a deflected effort.
Whitley would secure the points in the 81st minute as he drove into the box and fired past Allan to make it 0-2.
The Ravens next game is away at West Didsbury & Chorlton on Saturday September 22.
