Move It Studios Phoenix Rising junior dance team to perform before kick off this weekend

The Isle of Man has some phenomenal dance talent, a group of 7 local dancers aged 13-16 have been offered the opportunity to showcase this to the World. Move It Studios elite junior dance ‘Phoenix Rising’ team have recently been awarded with an invitation by Future Cheer to compete at The Dance Summit 2024. During our recent competition in Paris in November 2023, the team achieved an impressive 17 first-place finishes. The exceptional performances caught the attention of Future Cheer, the organisers of the event, who offered the team two of their limited 15 Summit bids available throughout the year. This has granted us the privilege to showcase our talents internationally. This is a ground breaking achievement for a Manx Dance team, and they are thrilled to represent the Isle of Man on the global stage competing against top teams from around the world for the Dance Summit Grand Champion title.

Aeryn Breed (16), Erin Faragher (15), Emma Hill (13), Kiah Kennedy (12), Mia Long (15), Millie Hartley (14), Pixie Clarke (14) make up the two teams that will be competing in the Junior Pom and Junior Lyrical division. The team will be doing an exclusive performance during today’s game.

“I am so proud to dance for Move It and I am over the moon to have been awarded this opportunity to represent my dance school and the island on such a large scale! It really is a dream and the chance of a lifetime.”

Pixie Clarke, PR Infernos Team Captain

The competition takes place on Saturday 4th May 2024 in Orlando Florida, USA and to make this journey possible, the team are facing significant financial commitments for travel, accommodation, championship fees, and other necessary expenses for the  team of seven talented dancers and their coaches. With the support of the local community, fundraising events and fundraising demonstration, like this one, the team hope to raise enough funds to be able to attend.

There will be fundraising buckets at the match today.  Your donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in helping them achieve that goal. By supporting Phoenix Rising, you become an essential part of that journey and helping them showcase the Isle of Man’s talent on the world stage.

Thank you for you for your support and generosity in making this dream come true for the team.

If you are unable to attend the game today, you can visit their fundraising page here.
