The one we are all looking forward to is nearly here! This afternoon the Ravens will travel to play Bury FC at the world renowned Gigg Lane.
It is anticipated that there will be over 100 fans travelling to the game by plane and boat (any way that they can!) something that we are incredibly proud of for a midweek game!
If you are heading to the game from the Island or meeting up with us at the ground don’t forget to get your ticket here. There will be no segregation in place for this game but away fans are encouraged to purchase tickets in the South stand and to congregate towards the ‘SH’ end of the stand. The ground will open at 6:30pm with kick off at 8pm. If travelling by car there is parking in residential areas near the ground but please do be respectful to the local residents.
If you are unable to make the game we will be streaming the Bury FC stream in the Pinewood Social Club.
Bury FC currently sit in 3rd position in the league on 27 points compared to the Ravens in 13th position on 17 points, with a game on hand over our opposition.
We have of course played Bury twice before, last season. The away game a disappointing one for the Ravens which ended in a 4-0 defeat. The Ravens were victorious in the more recent fixture at The Bowl towards the end of last season, an exciting game which finished 3-2, fingers crossed for more of the same today!
Looking at the squad for the game, we welcome back Charlie Higgins for the first time since the game vs Pilkington on 6th September. Kyle Watson is also named in the squad for the first time since 16th August.
