After a resilient performance against Brackley Town last week who are of course against 3 Steps above us in the football pyramid, Ravens manager Paul Jones will be looking for a similar performance from the players against another difficult opponent in Southport FC on Friday.
Southport FC nicknamed “the Sandgrounders” play within the Vanarama National League North which is 3 steps above the Ravens. They have so far played four pre-season games, this being their fifth.
The Ravens squad is boosted by the return of keeper James Rice who will play only his second game of the year. A new addition in that department in Adam Killey. Adam from Corinthians was of course FA Cup Player of the Final, another strong addition to the Ravens squad. Elsewhere Sam Gelling & Joe Walters also see their name on the FC Isle of Man team sheet for the first time!
Don’t forget we start at the later time of 19:30 tomorrow with gates open from 18:30. Season ticket holders get ALL pre-season games free of charge or if you wish to purchase a ticket for this game alone they are priced at £4.
